Welcoming back Stephen McCarrick as Assistant Director of United Percussion World!

Stephen is a percussion educator, manager of the @yeah_bass Instagram page, and active performer with the Philadelphia Eagles Drumline. Throughout his marching and teaching career, Stephen has sought to craft independent bass drum projects that elevate and inspire the bass drum community both in South Jersey and throughout the world. 

Stephen marched his first year of United Percussion in 2017 and is now eager to enter his 7th year with the ensemble. He was a part of United as a marching member from 2017-2019, and as a staff member from 2024-Present. Stephen marched with the Cadets2 from 2016-2017, Carolina Crown from 2018-2019, Rhythm X in 2020 and 2022, and the Philadelphia Eagles Drumline from 2024-Present. He is currently completing his 4th season as a bass drum technician at The Bushwackers, his 3rd season as bass drum technician at Rowan University Marching Band, and his 1st season on tour as bass drum technician at the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps. Additionally, Stephen won a gold medal in WGI Percussion Scholastic Open in 2013 and a DCA gold medal, with the Cadets2 in 2016. 

Stephen’s intense passion for indoor percussion, as well as his diverse background of experience working with a variety of other successful organizations will be a great resource for United Percussion this winter. We are eager to work with him, and he is eager to get to work this September and see the next season of United Percussion come to life!
