Michelle Solla has assumed the position of Director for United Percussion and will run day-to-day operations for the World Ensemble. Michelle was a member of United Percussion from 2008-2011. After aging out, she continued her journey with United Percussion on staff as the Electronics Coordinator and has served as Assistant Director since 2014. Michelle has a B.S. in Business Administration from Drexel University and is pursuing her MBA in Marketing and Business Analytics at Temple University.

Executive Director John Strada went on to say, “The United Percussion and Arts organization is excited to have Michelle assume the Director position and we are confident both Michelle and Chad will continue to provide us with the leadership required to keep our performance groups achieving our mission of developing young performers of all ages through the visual and performing arts while achieving great excellence.”

"It is incredible to see the growth that is happening within the organization. What used to be one ensemble and one staff is now two. With that comes the opportunity to serve more people and the need for some restructuring. I have personally worked alongside Michelle for several years and believe she is more than capable. She knows I am super proud of her. I would like to thank all the staff and alumni who have stepped UP to make this opportunity happen", said Chad Moore, Esq.

Moore, who has served as the Director of United Percussion, will focus on the executive development of United Percussion and Arts, Inc., as a whole, while maintaining the vision and mission of the organization.

“We greatly appreciate Chad’s contribution to the organization. United Percussion has evolved and made many advances under his excellent leadership including winning the WGI Independent Open World Championship in 2007, and being a top tier WGI Finalist for all sixteen years of WGI competition. Although in a different position, we look forward to him continuing to serve for many years to come.” said Strada.

Tom Dunmore will assume the position of Assistant Director. Tom has worked with numerous ensembles in the northeast at all levels of competition. He has been working behind the scenes with United Percussion since 2011 and is excited to join the administrative team.
