Justus Wilson joins A Class Front Ensemble Staff

United Percussion is excited to announce another addition to our A Class Ensemble staff. Justus Wilson will be a part of our 2019 Staff as a Front Ensemble Technician.

Justus is a percussionist and music educator from the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania. His marching percussion career began in high school with the Bangor Area High School Marching Band, serving as percussion section leader his final year. Since then, Justus has had the opportunity to grow his skills as a percussionist and performer at multiple performing ensembles including The Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps, Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps, and United Percussion. As an educator, Justus has worked with local high schools in the North New Jersey/Eastern Pennsylvania area, as well as had the opportunity to be a part of the instructional staff at the Hawthorne Caballeros Drum and Bugle Corps during the summer of 2018.

Throughout the course of his playing career, Justus has had the privilege of learning from fantastic educators, including Ian Hale, Iain Moyer, Dave Osworth, Paul Nalesnik, Steve Ballard, Marcus Neudigate, Jim Ancona and Thom Hannum. He is excited to use these experiences to help lay a strong foundation for the ensemble, in order to provide an incredible environment and a place for the members to learn the fundamentals, and to grow as players, and performers.

Justus’ playing experience and overall teaching pedigree is a key addition to our staff in regards to teaching our students. We are committed to providing an upcoming experience for our members that serves them not only for today, but beyond. Justus is perfect for our mission and we look forward to getting this year started.
