We are thrilled to announce the addition of Eric Carr to the design team for UP27. Eric returns to the group after having marched with the group from 2008-2011. Eric was a part of United’s early success and is looking forward to returning the group. “I am excited to work with the talented members and staff of United Percussion. Eric’s creative talents have amassed a loyal fanbase of over 480,000 subscribers with his entertaining and education-packed videos. Eric earned his Bachelor's Degree in Music at Rowan University, then his Master’s degree at University of Delaware. He performed with “The Commandant’s Own” USMC Drum and Bugle Corps from 2018-2021. Eric was a former member of the Bushwackers, Jersey Surf, Carolina Crown and United Percussion. He also performed for various professional sports teams such as the NY Giants, NY Jets, and NY Knicks.
Eric has been putting his chops to the test throughout his career and has taken home 14 gold medals on various percussion instruments in Individual and Small Ensemble competitions. Eric has broken 12 Guinness World Records and also made an appearance as “Drumstick the Chicken Drummer” on America’s Got Talent.
Eric has spent many years as an educator instructing for the Bushwackers, Highland Regional High School, Deptford High School, and private lessons. He also offers online instructional classes on RhythmMonster.com. In addition to the ‘Galactic Class’ music on his YouTube channel, Eric has many years of experience writing for various ensembles of all levels.
