Ever since Nicole joined UPC it was pretty obvious that she was destined to one day guide UPC to the next level.  Now that day is here.  Nothing excites us more than when a former member thrives in the activity and wants to give back to the organization.  Expect big things of UPC with Nicole at the helm.  We are so excited to bring her on board and the future members of UPC should also be stoked!  Check out her bio below.

Nicole Barnes is a former member of United Percussion, spending 4 seasons from 2011-2014 with the group. For her age out in 2014, Nicole joined late in the season for a visual performance role while also instructing the cymbal line. She graduated from Rancocas Valley Regional High School in 2010. That summer, she spent her first season of drum corps in the Jersey Surf Cymbal Line.

In the 2012 and 2013 seasons, Nicole marched in the Crossmen Cymbal Line, where she aged out this past summer. Nicole returns to Crossmen for the 2014 season as the cymbal instructor. Nicole is also involved with the Eagles Drumline, where she has been for the past 3 NFL seasons.

Nicole has taught and consulted at a variety of high schools in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, for both visual and cymbals. She is currently an instructor at Ridley High School. Nicole attends the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, studying Speech Language Pathology with a minor in Gerontology. She expects to graduate in May 2015 and attend grad school.
